Commons Android App Icon

Wikimedia Commons’ Android application is a free, easy-to-use image uploading app that allows one to donate photos to Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia’s free media repository. I designed the launcher icon of the app to replicate the rather complex shapes of the Wikimedia logo while affording it consistency with Android design guidelines by giving it slight depth on the top and light shadows. This is my first open source contribution in design.

Delhi Metro: Android application

Delhi Metro App is a simple Android application to help commuters using the Delhi Metro to quickly find routes between stations, including changes and travel time estimates. I designed the user interface building on the iconography already in use in the metro system. This included designing a pixel font on the lines of the one used in the digital signage inside the coaches, and creating the app icon which mimics the signage used for station names.
Delhi Metro app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

Fontest

Fontest is a simple font testing application for Android. I designed the interface and icon for the application. The icon was inspired by woodblock printing, and the interface used similar colors and default Android widgets. You can check out the application on the Google Play Store.
